At the top of Cerro del Abuelo you will find the only lookout point in Poza Rica and the best view of the entire city.
Originally the hill was used to grow sugar cane and coffee in the early 20th century. But in the late 50’s it was transformed into a place for people to gather and enjoy the view, with its inauguration in 1957.
Over the years it has been remodeled until the incorporation of the City Museum, where you can learn how Poza Rica was formed, its trajectory over time and important people who have left their mark on history.
The lookout is located 100 meters above sea level. There are 20 flags flying around it and a central flag. It is the ideal place to enjoy the panoramic view of the entire city.
